Lloyd M. Prosser, age 86, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2002 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso. On November 5, 1916 he was born in Sailor Springs, IL the son of Joseph and Bertha (nee Miller) Prosser. He married Ethel B. Rosenbaum on July 2, 1939 in Valparaiso. From 1950 until his retirement, Mr. Prosser co-owned and operated the dairy-grain business at Sunset Hill Farm for Col. Robert Murray. He was a charter member of the Faith Memorial Lutheran Church in Valparaiso. In his younger years he was an avid horseshoe pitcher.

Survivors include his wife: Ethel of Valparaiso; one daughters: Janet Pullins and one step-daughter, Donna (Larry) Cawby, both of Valparaiso; four grnadchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters: Lola Schwuchow and Glena (John) Ensign, both of Hobart, Julie (Felix) Banmnon of Portage; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lauren, John Carroll and Albert, two sisters, Darlene Wells and Delores Schwuchow and two infant sisters.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2002 at the Faith Memorial Lutheran Church in Valparaiso, IN, with the Rev. John Albers officiating. Burial will be in McCool Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family recommends memorials may be made to the Faith Memorial Lutheran Church or the Whispering Pines Nursing Home. Moeller Funeral Home in Valparaiso, in charge of arrangements.
