In 1882 his family moved to Kansas. In 1885 he was married to Nora Belle Nash. To this union three children were born. He returned with his family to Missouri in 1888, where his wife died six years later. In 1895 he was married to Lillie D. Chamberlain, of Pickeung, Mo. To this union six children were born.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Fisher, two sons, George of Roswell; Earl, of Fruitland; three daughters, Mrs. Olive Eldredge, of Salmon; Mrs. Cecil Spencer, of Oakland, Cal., and one sister, Mrs. Lola Kinnison of Pasadena, Cal.; two brothers, John, of Hopklins, Mr. Hiram, of Waco, Texas and a half brother and two step sisters, Mrs. Fred Engle of Payette, twelve grandchildren, four great grand children.
