Rosa Ellen Hyatt Dailey-Porter, age 88, of Clayton Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 26, 2007, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Born October 18, 1918, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Troy Mitchell Hyatt and Ella Lindey Cooper Hyatt.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Dailey on January 20, 1959; two sons, Vernon Paul Dailey and Billy Joe Dailey; two brothers, Mitchell Hyatt and William Hyatt; and two grandsons, Ricky Dailey and Curtis Brown. She is survived by her husband, Donald Porter; six sons, Estill (Louise) Dailey of Statesboro, GA, and Donnie (Lisa) Dailey of Springfield, GA; Audrey Harold Dailey, Ira Jr. (Charlotte) Dailey, Larry (Cindi) Dailey, Timothy (Rebecca) Dailey, all of Morehead, KY; four daughters, Shirley (James) Flynn of Charlestown, IN, Brenda (Curtis) Brown of Xenia, OH, Elaine (Scott) Cummins of Fleming County, KY, Penny (William) McGuire of Olive Hill, KY; two brothers, George Hyatt of Rowan County, KY and Loren Hyatt of Rarden, OH; and three sisters, Rene Cassidy of Perrysburg, OH, Emma Markwell of Grayson, KY, and Christine Butler of Morehead, KY. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Rosa was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and mamaw and a friend to everyone she met. She retired from Morehead State University in 1983. Rosa loved the Lord and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Christian Church and attended Wallingford Christian Church.

Funeral services at Mt. Pisgah Christian Church with Rev. Tom Redmon, Rev. Charlie Hamm and Rev. James DeAtley officiating; burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Ky.
