Joel, the son of the late Lewis and Irene (VanDerPloge) Walker, was born August 10, 1949, in Capac.
On November 13, 1970, Joel was united in marriage with Miss Marcia Martin in Capac.
Joel was employed by the former A&R Pipeline as an operator for 30 years and then the former CSB Bank as a courier for several years.
He was a member of Thornville Baptist Church, Metamora and was an avid hunter.
Mr. Walker is survived by: his loving wife of 46 years, Marcia Walker
