LLANO -- Mattie Leora Wade, 96, of Llano, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2007.

She was born March 10, 1910 in Kingsland, Texas to Sally (Watson) and Houston Goble. Mattie was a resident of Llano for over thirty years, coming from Rochester, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Pittsburg Avenue Baptist Church of Llano.

Mattie is survived by daughters, Ophelia Newsom of Haskell, Texas and Frances Wilson and husband Leroy of Rule, Texas; sons, Donald Wade and wife Sue of Inez, Texas and George "Sonny" Wade of Llano, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Jeanette McPherson of Llano, Texas; seventeen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and

eighteen great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Martin Wade in 1964, daughter, Beulah Hamilton, son, Jack Wade, one grandson, two great granddaughters, three sisters, and four brothers.

Services for Mattie will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Chapel in Llano at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Brett Willis officiating. There will be a graveside service and interment at Rochester Cemetery at Rochester, Texas in Haskell County at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Truett

Kuentsler officiating.

Memorials may be made to Pittsburg Avenue Baptist Church of Llano, American Heart Association, or the Charity of your choice.
