Jo Ann Cole Patterson, 79, homemaker and resident of Marsh Creek Road in Linden, died Friday, March 31, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Maury County Park Kiwanis International Shelter with Donald Patterson officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born December 18, 1937 in Lamesa, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Cole and the late Lea Lorene McClough Cole. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, crafts and snow skiing. Mrs. Patterson was a member of Christian Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Tanya (Terry) Kessinger of Mt. Pleasant; Toni Renee Smith of Linden; son, David (Vicki) Patterson of Round Rock, Texas; brother, Ben Allen (JoAnn) Malone of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Melody (Terry) Allen, Michelle Kessinger, Kerry Smith, Matthew (Megan) Smith, Tiffany (Robert) Cuellar, David (Brianda) Patterson, Brandon (Vivian) Patterson, Steven (Milly) Patterson, Phillip (Cecily) Patterson; nineteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Ray Cole; and sister, Lorreta Margaret Malone.

The family would like to express a special thanks to her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donald and Jean Patterson and Jonelle Richardson, the staff of Vanderbilt University Medical Center Trauma Unit and Suzanne Hoffman.
