Paul Pitchford, Jr., 88, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Paul was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Du Quoin American Legion.

Paul was born February 23, 1929 at Tamaroa, IL, the son of Paul A. and Anna Elizabeth (Zoeckler) Pitchford.

Paul married Marilyn J. Adelman on October 3, 1953 at Springfield, IL and she preceded him in death on February 2, 2016.

Paul is survived by one daughter - Priscilla and husband Loren of Du Quoin, three step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, one step great great grandchild, and his cat - Midnite.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the Army National Guard.
