Mr. Carr was born on March 2, 1929 in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, a son of Mr. Stephney Carr, Sr. and Mrs. Ellen Poinsette Carr. He was a member of Greater Gordon Church. Following completion of his formal education, he joined the United States Army. For several years until retirement, Mr. Carr was employed with the Y.M.C.A. of Baltimore, Maryland as a Hospitality Coordinator. He was united in marriage to the former Ms. Magnolia Earle (now deceased).
Surviving are his sister, Rosa L. Mazyck of Murrells Inlet, SC; his devoted niece and caregiver, Narvie Stewart, Murrells Inlet, SC; brother-in-law, Earl Lee Robinson, Myrtle Beach, SC. Funeral services were entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
