OREANA- Pastor Nicholas S. “Nick” Hardin, 70 of Oreana, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017 in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, surrounded by all of his family.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10 am Friday, April 14, 2017 in Maranatha Assembly of God, conducted by Pastor Doug Lowery, Pastor Ed McCammack, Pastor Bill Fisher, Rev. Larry Duncan and Pastor Dave Gessaman. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM Thursday also at Maranatha Assembly of God. Interment with Military Rites will be in the Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta. Memorials are suggested to God’s Abundant Love Fellowship. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Online condolences and memories can be shared with the family at gracelandfairlawn.com.

Pastor Nick was born on January 25, 1947 in Decatur, IL the son of Charles S. and Irma M. (Orth) Hardin. He served his country in the Air Force. Pastor Nick was the Pastor of God’s Abundant Love Fellowship. He married Frances E. “Fran” Quimby on November 4, 1967 in Decatur.

Pastor Nick is survived by his wife Fran, son- Lance Hardin and his wife Carrie of Mt. Zion and their children Bryson and Maddi, son- Robb Hardin and his wife Jennifer of Warrensburg and their children Austin, Andy, Alex and Megan, daughter- Kara Feller-Drollinger and her husband Chad of Oreana and her daughter Elayna Feller.

He was greeted in Heaven by his parents and granddaughter Kayla Feller.

Pastor Nick enjoyed sharing his love of the Lord and he was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren as he watched them play sports.

Pastor Nick loved the Lord, his family and being a disciple for Jesus. He shared the Good News with all he encountered and was always spreading the Gospel. One of his favorite verses was Proverbs: 25:11- A word fittingly spoken is like a silver apple in a golden container.
