Margaret Hodges, 90, of Palatka, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Riverwood Center Nursing Home in Jacksonville following an extended illness. A native of Whitmire, South Carolina she had lived in Florida since 1958 in Green Cove Springs. Margaret was a member of Decoy Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert George Hodges, infant son Ronald Gary Hodges and son James Albert Hodges.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Hodges Phillips, Carolyn Glisson(Johnny) Ronnie E. Hodges, Bobby Hodges, Terry Hodges (Trish), Larry Evans (Cathy), Ed Evans and Ray Evans, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Rudy Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Decoy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
