George W. Reisinger Sr., 86, formerly of York, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2003, at his home. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Wiles) Reisinger, to whom he was married for 56 years. Mr. Reisinger was born January 11, 1917, in York. He was the son of the late Charles and Elva (Woods) Reisinger. He worked for Teledyne McKay in York for 35 years, retiring in 1982; and he had also worked for York Safe and Lock for eight years. He graduated from William Penn High School in 1936. He was a member of Mount Wolf V.F.W. Post 2493; Pleasureville American Legion Post 799; and the United Steelworkers Local No. 2151. Mr. Reisinger is also survived by one son, George Reisinger, Jr. of York; two daughters, Kara Baney of York Haven and Sandy Crowl of Seven Valleys; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Hemberger.
