Matthew Ryan Conner

Matthew Ryan Conner, 33, passed away on March 27, 2017. Matt was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on March 29, 1983. He graduated from John Glenn High School in Westland, Michigan. He also attended the William D. Ford Career Technical Center in 2001, where he specialized in printing technology and graphic design. Matt was honored in the State of Michigan Competitive Scholarship Program; recognized in the regional competition for his work in printing technology; earning the Michigan Merit Award. He later attended Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan where he studied horticulture and mycology. He lived in Ypsilanti, Michigan for the last 15 years.

After high school graduation, Matt used his graphic skills as a print technician in local print shops, but his passion for music led him into the field of music production and audio engineering. He worked with world class DJ's and hip-hop producers in the Detroit area. Matt also loved the Grateful Dead (currently Dead & Company) and traveled all over the country to attend their live concerts.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Ann (Garner) McNally of Westland, Michigan and his father, Thomas Michael Conner of Howell, Michigan. He will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters; Andrew Ross Conner (Caitlin Francis Conner), James Michael Conner, Katelyn Marie McNally, Emily Ann McNally, Heather Michelle Conner, Candice Marie Kaufman, and Charity Brenstuhl. He will also be missed by his Grandfather Edward Kowalski, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with his uncle Rev. Michael Garner officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the funeral home from 1:00 until 8:00 p.m., and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m.
