COATESVILLE, Ind. -- A woman and her 1-year-old child were killed and two other people were injured Friday afternoon in two-vehicle crash near Coatesville, police said.

Danielle M. Chew, 31, of Greencastle, and her child, Chance K. Chew, died as a result of the wreck on Indiana 75 just north of County Road 450 South, according to the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department.

Police said a Chevrolet Suburban driven by Jack Stokes was heading north on Indiana 75 when it partially went off the road to the right and then veered back to the left. The Suburban crossed the road's centerline and collided with an oncoming minivan driven by Chew, police said.

The minivan rolled and came to rest on its top.

Stokes, 75, and his passenger, 74-year-old Doris Stokes, both of Coatesville, were taken to a hospital for treatment. Both suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police said Danielle Chew wasn't wearing a seat belt. Her child was secured in a child safety seat, police said.
