Sandra Marie Shafer-Fitch of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Carlton Fitch; daughters, Lynette (Dennis) Szych and Therese Pakulski; son, Douglas (Alma) Shafer; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Valerie (James) Archibald, and sister, Elaine Sloan. Sandra was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Shafer; sons, Randall, James and Timothy Shafer and sister, Carol Karsack.
Sandra enjoyed the cycle of new life her grand and great-grandchildren brought to her. She also enjoyed crafting and, later in life, sold her floral crafts at shows, naming her booth “Late Bloomers.” The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio .

Sandra gifted her body to the University of Toledo College of Medicine for the advancement of medical science. In addition, she will have a grave marker next to her first husband, Larry Shafer, in Section 36 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo, OH.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering from 1 until 5 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Urbanski Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Road, Toledo.
