Son of Francis A. Petrone and the late Daisy Y. Petrone; born on June 1, 1956. Perry passed away on Sept. 8, 2004 of natural causes. He was the nephew of Adelene Kruppa, State Representative, Thomas C. Petrone; cousin to Christa & Dean Petrone & Frank Randazza. He was a great lover of music and played the guitar left-handed. He knew many of the top music groups across the country.

Piero (he preferred "Perry", but was also known as "Sonny LeRock") was a left-handed bassist who played for many years in a variety of bands. This included the "Coquina Rock Band" in Melbourne, Florida in the mid-80's. He left Florida to return to Pittsburgh and attend school. In his later years, he owned and operated a "Rock & Roll Hotel" where many famous acts could stay while on tour. The hotel catered to the musician's lifestyle, allowing guests to dine at odd hours, jam or just socialize. Many well-known groups, including the Rolling Stones, would stay at Perry's hotel when in the area.

Perry is greatly missed by his many friends and admirers to this day.
