Anna Louise "Pat" (Patterson) Graves, 87, arrived in San Antonio, Texas, on Nov. 18, 1929. Surrounded by loved ones, she departed on her heavenly journey from Pueblo on April 7, 2017. She graduated from Abilene High School, Abilene, Texas, in 1947, and from Abilene Christian University in 1951, with majors in voice and piano. While in college, she starred in the title role of the college produced opera, "Martha." Pat was an accomplished pianist and music teacher. She taught at Corwin and Freed Junior High Schools and Fulton Heights Elementary School. She also taught private music lessons to aspiring young musicians. She was multi-talented in the arts, wrote/published children's books and created beautiful watercolor art work. For several years, she sang with the Pue-blo Symphony Chorale including one of the lead soprano roles in the opera, The Magic Flute. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe and Annie Mae Patterson. She is survived by her husband of 62 1/2 years, Frank W. Graves; her children, Patti (Jim) Altmix, Stephen (Carolyn) Graves and Gayle (Jon) Junker; and was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two older brothers, James and William (Bill) Patterson; seven nephews and one niece. Viewing, 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the funeral home.
