He was born September 29, 1945 in Charleston, Arkansas to Jack and Letha (Bohannan) Wright.
He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1963.
He retired from Cox Communication.
He later drove a bus for Elkins Schools.
Bill was a professional photographer and had many interests including golf, guitar, baseball, and loved music from opera to Pink Floyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Roger Gordon "Blue" Mhoon II; and sister, Mary Lee Jeffery.
He is survived by his wife, Suzie Wright; one son, Robin Fields of West Fork, Arkansas; two daughters, Wendy Smith (and husband, Dave) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Sarah Mhoon of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and three grandchildren.
A service will be held at a later date.
