Helen M. Thurwalker (nee Lynch) was born on April 18, 1919, in Willisville, Illinois. She was a member of the Maplewood Park Baptist Church, and had lived in the Cahokia area for 68 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel T. Pearl; her second husband, Charles R. Thurwalker; her parents, Charles C. and Marie (nee Killion) Lynch, and one brother who passed away in infancy. She passed away on Monday, April 4, 2005, at her granddaughter's residence. She was 85 years of age. Dear mother of six surviving children, Sandra (Charles) Groves of Waterloo, IL, Sue Ann (John) Reed of Collinsville, IL, Bob (Barbara) Thurwalker of Collinsville, IL, Pamela (Kevin) Bergman of Cahokia, IL, Jim (Bonnie) Thurwalker of San Antonio, TX, and David Thurwalker of St. Louis, MO; loving sister of Chuck (Eileen) Lynch of O'Fallon, MO; beloved by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She touched many lives, and will always be in our hearts. Private Service and Interment was held at Forever Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
