Frank Nicholson
Michigan City – Frank Nicholson, 76, of 1120 Maple, Michigan City, a former Chesterton resident, died at 3:15 pm Wednesday at St. Anthony Hospital after a six week illness.
Born Jan 25, 1884 in Miller, Ind. He was the son of Nels and Jennie (Anderson) Nicholson. He married Anna Wilke Sept. 10, 1955.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Elmer of Livonia, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Francis Medley of Allgood, Tenn., Mrs. Eleanor Laemmer of Elmhurst, Ill., and Mrs. Marie Lindquist of Michigan City; 12 step-children and nine grandchildren; three brothers, the Rev. Elmer Nicholson of Pitonka, Ia., the Rev. Arthur Nicholson of Florida and Raymond of Chesterton; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Hawkinson of Portage and Miss Laura Nicholson of Valparaiso.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Zion Lutheran church in Michigan City. Burial will be in McCool cemetery. Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening at Haas Funeral Home.
