Mrs. Julius (Martha) Andresen, an invalid during the last twelve years, died Tuesday morning, July 11, at her home north of Elberon, al the age of 73. During all of these years, Mrs. Andresen had been a bed patient, and tenderly eared for in her own home by her husband, a son and daughter. The funeral services are to be held Saturday in the Elberon the Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Milo Smith, late of Elberon, now pastor of the Montour church and of Fairview Methodist church near Toledo. Mrs. Eldo Anders and Mrs. Frances Snyder will sing, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Beryl Gillespie. Interment will be in Irving cemetery.
Mrs. Andresen was born Martha Nessler in Benton county on September 18, 1887, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nessler of the Dysart community. She was married to Julius Andresen at Vinton on February 3, 1908. All of the fifty-three years of the marriage were spent on the same farm on Highway 21 between Elberon and Dysart. Their two living children, Viola and Julius are both at home . Another died in infancy. The Andresens observed their 40th wedding anniversary in 1948 and their golden anniversary in 1958.
