Abstract--Elisha Dennis Phillips, 70, of Blueville Addition, Grafton, died Sunday at the Grafton City Hospital. He was born in Marion Co. Feb. 19, 1893, a s/o the late William Albert and Joann Huffman Phillips. He is survivied by his wife, Lena Pearl Lake Phillips, to whom he was married on Dec. 25, 1912, in Grafton; seven children, Emmett M. of Clarksburg, Mrs. Howard (Louise) Pratt of Grafton, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Holdbridge of Toledo, Oh., Charles W. and Harold Junior, both of Grafton, Edwin D. of Jasper, Mich., Mrs. Fred (Betty) Bonner of Grafton; six brothers, Russell Phillips and Allen Phillips of Mt. Morris, Pa., William D. Phillips of Hyattsville, Md., Willis Phillips of Morgantown, Raymond Hayes of Hyattsville, and Dane Hays of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. AdalineJohnson of Morgantown, Mrs. Emma Dick of Cumberland, Md., Mrs. Verla Stevens of Grafton and Mrs. Lena Cochran of Clarksburg. Two daughters, Pauline and Erma are deceased. Mr. Phillips was a retired stationary engineer for the B & O Railroad. He had been retired for four years, with 50 years of service. Interment was in the Woodsdale Memorial Park, Grafton.
