MEBANE - Daniel G. "Dan" Albright, 85, of Mebane died at his residence on Saturday, June 21, 2014.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Rebecca F. Albright, who survives and the son of William Herbert Albright and Stella Nicholson Albright, both deceased. He was a member of Hawfields Presbyterian Church where he served in the church choir. He loved Gospel Quartet Music and was a member of the Albright Brothers Quartet and the Visionaires Quartet. Dan was an avid Harley motorcycle rider. He was an honorary member of the Sheriff's Department of Alamance County and a member of the North Carolina Sheriff's Association.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters; a sister; five grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Albright; a son, D.G. Albright, Jr.; a sister, Laura Albright; and three brothers, Linwood Albright, Elmo Albright, and James Albright.

A funeral service will be held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM by the Revs. David Ealy and E. Paul West. Burial will follow at Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
