Martha Jane born 1844 in Marshall County, Tennessee was the daughter of Dickson Hamilton and Margaret Bloodworth. The family moved to Caldwell County, Kentucky in 1850. She married John D. Thompson on December 6, 1863 in Brandenburg, Kentucky. After the death of her husband, she moved with two of her daughters and their spouses to St. Clair County, Illinois in 1920. Her daughter Lena B. White preceded her in death and is also buried at Mt Hope Cemetery.
