Member of the Loomis Gang.
AKA: Denio. It was said that Denio was "not quite right". He was a paralytic when he died.

Hiram married Mary C.Michaud-Lackney
He had sons Jerry Loomis, Joseph Loomis from Ilion and New Hartford,NY and daughters Roseann Loomis Gay, and Mary Loomis Shaw.

Additional info provdied by Nate:
He is known to have died in 1880 while the children listed, Mary A, Rose Ann, Joseph and Jerry were born in early 1900 (per census records). Their father is also named Denio which is probably where the confusion comes from. Hiram was called Denio as well. The children's father is Denio W. Loomis, son of Theodore Wheeler Loomis, Hiram Denio's brother. I'm fairly certain on this point. However, Hiram Denio may have married Mary C. Michaud-Lackney.

Denio Wheeler LOOMIS (son of Wheeler Theodore LOOMIS) married Mary Catherine MICHAUD-LACKNEY, aka Mary LOCHNER.

I can find no information that Hiram Denio LOOMIS ever married. Hiram died of paralysis 7 Jan 1880 when he was just over 40.
