Robin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 surrounded by family, after a short courageous battle with cancer.

Best friend and loving wife of Fred Walker. Dear mother of Amanda Walker (Keith Clark) and Jerry-Jeff (Emily Hughes) Walker. She leaves behind her sweetest treasure, granddaughter Brynn.
Forever remembered by her brother Robert (Diane) Merner; sisters Karen (James) Schnarr, Kimberly Greenaway. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Robert Merner and a sister Bev Ermel.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Robin’s passion was to care for her family, especially during her illness, always concerned about everyone; her care for others came first. Last year Robin participated in the Relay for Life and her goal was to walk again this year even leading up to her last days. She supported Fred through his many volunteer positions in the community; she was always by his side.

Robin’s family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo today (Friday) April 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service to celebrate her life will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the New Apostolic Church 160 Margaret Ave., Kitchener with Rev. Corey Lindner officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will follow.
