George Fritz Dodd, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Visitation: 1-3:00 PM Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
George was born in Springtown and graduated from Azle High School in 1948. He served in the Navy where he played basketball for the Alameda Hellcats. Upon returning home, he graduated from Texas Wesleyan College where he continued to play basketball and golf.
George was a lifelong antique collector, dealer and estate liquidator in the Fort Worth area. He had a fun-loving personality and a lot of great stories to tell.
George was preceded in death by Rita, the mother of his two daughters, and Bettie, his second wife.
Survivors: Daughters, Debbie Pilgrim and Lisa Ledbetter; son-in-law, Joe; and grandchildren, Natalie, Sam, and Kyle.
