Francis E. Stickel
(January 25, 1933 - April 6, 2017)

Francis E. Stickel, 84, of Charles Town, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Shenandoah Center, Charles Town.

Born Jan. 25, 1933, in Charles Town, he was the son of Strother E. Stickel and Ethel Marie (Howell) Stickel.

Mr. Stickel retired from Ramey Furniture and Appliances as an electronics technician.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town and a graduate of Charles Town High School.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene (Black) Stickel, at home; sons, Francis E. Stickel Jr., of Tennessee and James W. Stickel and wife, Kimberly, of Charles Town; special children, Tre, Destiny and Jaden Brooks, Tiffany and son, and Katrina; grandchildren, Angela Renne Stickel, Bradley Stickel, Danielle Stickel and fiance, Michael Adams, and Johnny Miller and wife, Pame; and great-grandchildren, Audrey Stickel, Makayla Adams, Whyatte Stickel and Willow Stickel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Cody Lookingbill; and brother, Floyd Stickel.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, with the Rev. Duane Jensen officiating.

Interment will be held at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the funeral home.
