Mary is last found on the 1850 Census in the household with her son, Marshall Hooks and his wife, Melissa. Mary is age 52 and is not on the census records for 1860, leaving the assumption that she died between 1850 & 1860. Mary was approximately 36 years old and a widow, at the time of the death of her Brother, Micajah Autry, who died at The Alamo in 1836 and is the 4th name listed on the monument in San Antonio.
