Wayne D. Barnett, 91, of Fort Smith, died April 6, 2017 in Fort Smith.
He was born July 26, 1925 in Fort Smith to Frank Henry and Virginia Lynn Coatney Barnett.
He was retired from the U.S. Army and Mead Containers. Wayne was also a member of the Park Hill Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Nola Barnett of Fort Smith; one son, Kenneth Barnett of Fort Smith; one sister, Wanda DeShazo of Mount Pleasant, TX; two grandchildren, Kimberly Holman and Kellie Deer; and three great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Monday, April 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the U.S. National Cemetery with military honors, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
