Clara Woodlock, of West Pugwash, died on Tuesday, 2 Jun 1970 at North Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Woodlock was 84 years of age and was in good health until May 24, when she beame ill at the home of her daughter, Marie Ross. The late Mrs. Woodlock was born 19 Aug 1885, youngest daughter of the late Thomas Giles and Mercy Henney. She was the youngest of a family of 14 and leaves surviving one brother, Leo Giles of Halifax. The late Mrs. Woodlock was of a kindly and loving disposition and was respected by all her acquaintances. She lived for 57 years in West Pugwash, with the exception of the last 10 winters which she spent with her son, Sgt. John Woodlock of CFB Greenwood. Mrs. Woodlock was predeceased by her husband, the late Arthur Woodlock, who died 5 Sep 1957 and also by one daughter, Mary Edna Currie, who died 17 Jan 1944. She is survived by three daughters, Agnes Mercy, married to Earl Currie of Sheet Harbour, Helen Eunice, widow of Ernest Canfield, West Pugwash, Theresa Marie, wife of Walter Ross of Oxford Junction and one son, Sgt. John Thomas Woodlock of CFB Greenwood. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral of the late Mrs. Woodlock was held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Pugwash on Thursday, 4 Jun. Rev. Father Doherty officiated. Pall bearers were Thomas A. Murphy and nephews John Fieley, Tom Fieley, Thomas Giles, QC, Francis Guilderson and Walter Guilderson. The late Mrs. Woodlock was remembered by numerous floral tributes and Mass cards.

Daughter Agnes Mercy had six children by her first husband and none by her second and third husbands.
