Clifton Leon Gregory, age 69, of Hattieville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Cliff was born December 17, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was an Air Force Veteran, a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Jacksonville, and spent the last two years attending New Life Church in Russellville. He played various roles throughout his more than 30 year career for United States Postal Service. Cliff was a member of Little Rock Roadrunners, Arkansas Pikes Peak Marathon Society, and Vietnam Security Police Association.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Lynn Masingill Gregory of Hattieville; daughter, Ashley Lynn Robinson (fiancée, Bennet Lifland) of Russellville; son, Clifton Matthew Gregory (Jill) of Little Rock; grandson, Preston "Tag" Robinson of Russellville; granddaughter, Sydney "Dru" Robinson of Russellville; brother, Bill Gregory (Marilyn) of Austin; sister, Lenora Shearer Pyland of Cabot; and three step sisters, Dathel Balch (Bob) of Florida, Mara Dean Jarrett of Jacksonville, and Janet Matlock of Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his daddy, Ernest Clifton Gregory; mother, Leona Gregory Shearer; dad, Preston Shearer; brother, Danny Shearer; granny; grandma; grandpa; maw maw; and paw paw.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, at the Harris Chapel with Pastor Mark Pagley officiating. Burial will be at Old Hickory by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Old Hickory Cemetery Fund.
