KIEFER- Jamie Ray Simmons, 15, Kiefer, died Saturday near Okmulgee.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiefer High School Gymnasium with the Rev. Wade Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Jamie was born on Oct. 10, 1975, in Chandler, and had lived in Kiefer since 1986, moving there from Sapulpa.

He was a freshman at Kiefer High School where he was a member of the basketball team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist church in Tulsa.

Survivors include mother and stepfather Glenda and E.V. Shelton of Kiefer; father and stepmother Ned and Sheila Simmons of Sapulpa; grandparents Jack and Mary McCullough of Sapulpa, and Gilbert and Imogene Simmons of Tulsa; great-grandmother Maggie McCullough of Kiefer; brothers Chris Simmons and Jeff Simmons, both of Kiefer; stepbrothers David Shelton, Paul Haggerty and Chris Haggerty; step-sister Kaylee Brown of Lake Tahoe, Nev.; and step-grandmother Norma Shelton of Sapulpa.

The family headquarter at the Simmons Home in Kiefer.

Funeral services for Jamie Ray Simmons were held today at the Kiefer High School gymnasium with the Revs. Watie Smith and Raymond Stacey officiating.

Burial followed at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket-bearers: Bob Shanks, Roger Melson, Mike Whitehead, Carl Woods, Mike Smith and Richard Newberry.
