He was born December 25, 1927 in Boone County, a son of the late Orville and Lilly (Bell) Barker.
Carl was the owner/operator of Central Tile Supply in Parkersburg for over 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved being in the woods and on the water. He enjoyed all types of sports.
Surviving are four children: Carland Barker (Judy), Luwana Rhoades (Bill), Ilessia Garrett and Kendra Barker, all of Parkersburg, six siblings: Eleanor Bender and Dorothy Mullens of Cleveland, OH, Bob Barker, Mary Ann Rishel and Carolyn Greathouse, all of Spencer and Dean Barker of Stow, OH.
He also leaves behind six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rena (Thompson) Barker and two brothers: Keith and Estus Barker.
Funeral services will be Sunday 2PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Jerry Murphy officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday 3-8PM.
