Mary Austin (Perry) Hopkins, 87, of Waynesboro passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Envoy of Staunton. She was born on January 18, 1930, a daughter of the late Leonard and Beulah (Rhodes) Perry.
Mary was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading, working puzzles and embroidery work.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Johnny McDaniel.
Survivors include her children, Alice Underwood, Michael Wade and Katherine Johnson; siblings, David Perry, Robert Perry and Betty Perry; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, 66 Tanbark Drive, Afton, with Pastor Jerry Cline officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
