Marjorie Nell McDaniel, age 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Chapel, with the Rev. Ed Malone officiating. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park, followed by a reception with the family at Central Christian Church, 3205 Hamilton Ave, Fort Worth.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marjorie’s name to the Alzheimer's Association - North Central Texas Chapter, or the MHMR (Mental Health and Mental Retardation) Tarrant County Chapter.
She was born Feb. 15, 1925, and was proud to tell everyone that she shared her birth date with three other family members: her older sister, Blondell Golden; son, Jeffrey Lynn McDaniel; and granddaughter, Megan McDaniel Johnson. After graduating from Paschal High School, Marjorie married Russell Bennett McDaniel. Margie and Russell shared a wonderful life filled with memories of square dancing and traveling throughout the country in their motor home. They were devoted members of Central Christian Church where they were very actively involved. Margie enjoyed playing the organ and the ukulele, often playing music to entertain her fellow residents at Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks Senior Living Community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Acton C. and Alba Irene Johnson; sister, Blondell Golden; and brother, Acton C. Johnson, Jr.
Survivors: Sons, Gary (Joyce), David (Susan), and Jeffrey; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous caring friends.
