Rodney L. Galloway

Rodney L. Galloway, 69, of Owensboro, Kentucky died April 3, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Rod was born July 24, 1947 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Clyde and Frances Galloway. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from Owensboro Municipal Utilities as a plant engineer at Elmer Smith Station. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Galloway.

Rod and his wife of 39 years, Sharon Woehler Galloway, were married on June 11, 1977. He is also survived by his daughters, Angie Galloway Barnard (Adam) and Lori Galloway Cecil (Gary Jr.); five grandchildren, Gus Cecil, Ridley Cecil, Alexandra Cecil, Wyatt Barnard and Ava Barnard; a sister, Alicia Weatherby (Steve); and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of his life and visitation with his family will be from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, KY, with military honors at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the donor's favorite charity.
