Mr. Odell Radford Jones, age 82, of Cana, passed away Wednesday, April 05, 2017, at his home. Mr. Jones was born in Carroll County on February 17, 1935, to William Lissie and Lina Mae Cagle Jones. He retired in 1994 from Estes Trucking. Mr. Jones was a talented bluegrass musician and enjoyed playing along with his brothers. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl and Charlene Jones; James and Ritha Jones, Keith Jones, Randall and Jennifer Jones, and Kevin and Diana Jones; grandchildren, Chasity Merrell and husband, Mike, Courtney Blackburn, Justin White and wife, Courtney, Jesse Jones, Annie Belton, Jared Jones, Chase Jones, Matthew Jones, Caroline Kendrick and husband, Brandon, Steven Jones, Caitlin Jones, and Avery Jones; great grandchildren, Alex, Logan, Christian, Gracie, Westyn, Josh and Brody; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen and Eddie Vaughn, and Faye Hardigree; brothers and sisters-in-law, Franklin Jones, Perry and Ida Jones, Donald Jones, Elza Jones, Edith M. Jones and Edith H. Jones. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Jean Hawks Jones; a sister, Lorraine Willard and brothers, Namon, Junior “Tub”, Berna, Harlie, Lynwood, and Herman Jones. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Jones, Rev. Tony Holder and Rev. Justin McCreary. Burial will follow in Jones Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
