Rhoda E. DAVIS, 84, 613 E. Broadway, died Sept. 30, 1994, at her home.
She was born Jan. 6, 1910, in Chanis City, N.M., a daughter of Henry and Luella (LEHMAN) HUBER.
On Nov. 3, 1934, she married Alpha DAVIS, in Warsaw, Ind. He died Dec. 23, 1970.
She had been a Centreville and Three Rivers area resident the past 60 years. She was employed at the Box Shop, Krogers and the Dime Store, all in Three Rivers, and she was a salesperson for the Minnesota Woolen Goods Company 25 years. She was a member of the Florence Church of the Brethren more than 50 years and was active in the Ladies Aid Group. She also had operated a booth at the St. Joseph County Grange Fair more than 30 years.
Surviving are two sons, Charles N. DAVIS, Centreville, and Larry lee DAVIS, Potterville; one daughter, Mrs. Lee (Sandra Kay) NIBBLE, Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marion H. HUBER, Sherwood, and Robert S. HUBER, Burr Oak; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald Ray DAVIS; one grandson; three brothers; and two sisters.
Relatives and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Eley Funeral Home, Centreville, where services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Kurt Ritchie, Florence Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie River Cemetery, Centreville.
