He had been a resident of this area for the past 44 years. He was a farmer but worked at the U. S. Naval Ammunition depot for a number of years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 9. He was survived by two sons, Samuel Crews of Haywood, and Odell Crews of Sacramento, CA; three stepsons, Don Marinelle, Andrew Marinelle and Robert Marinelle; a daughter, Mrs. Ted Dorrell of Haywood; three brothers, Roy Crews of McAlester, Doyle Crews of Oklahoma City and Ray Crews of Martinez, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Beula Norris of Arpelar, Mrs. Eula Davis of Muskogee and Mrs. Ollie Loe of Martinez, CA. His funeral was held Tuesday, Aug. 21, 1959.
