Michael D. Hodge, 67, of Alexandria, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Providence Anderson Health Care after extended illness.
Mike was born in Marion, on July 22, 1949, and was the son of Robert J. and Dorothea E. (Phillippe) Hodge. On June 13, 1998, he married Sharon K. (Knuckles) Hodge.
Mike was a retired welder. He was a member of the Greater Hope Apostolic Church, Alexandria.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; a son, Michael D. Hodge Jr.; daughters, Dorothea Hodge and Sandy (John) White; a brother, David Hodge; and a sister, Sharon Handcock. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S. Park Ave., Alexandria, with the Rev. Dale Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Vinson Memorial Park Cemetery, Summitville.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.
