Born in Panama City, Florida, he was the son of Sondra Jo Knight Wightman and Roger Jones. He had lived in Panama City, Florida, all of his life. He was a graduate of Mosley High School in Lynn Haven, Florida, and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Lynn Haven, Florida.
He is survived by his fiancée, Chasity Brown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; mother and stepfather, Sondra Jo and Merle Wightman of Lynn Haven, Florida; father and stepmother, Roger and Susie Jones of Lynn Haven, Florida; 1 brother, Shone Jones of Demopolis, Alabama; maternal grandparents, Fred and Opal Knight of Hamilton, Alabama; 2 stepbrothers, Ray Wightman of Inverness, Florida, and Jeff Wightman of Vernon, California; and 1 stepsister, Tina Anderson of Troy, Ohio.
