TAFT- Ruby Standlee Mize, 80, died January 18, 1991 in a San Angelo, Texas nursing home.
She had lived in Sinton, Texas for several years and was a schoolteacher for the Sinton Independent School District. She then moved to Taft, Texas and taught school until she retired with the Taft Independent School District. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Taft and was very active in the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Clifton Mize.
Survivors are one daughter, Margaret Mize Sharp of San Angelo, one son, Lloyd Ray Mize and his wife, Janet, of Miami, Florida; one sister, Ruth Nicely and her husband, Pete, of Sugarland, Texas; two brothers, Raymond Standlee and his wife, Melba, of Taft, and Milton Standlee and his wife, Onamae, of Ingram, Texas, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; four nieces, and one nephew.
Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 1991 in Sinton Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Griffiths officiating.
