Ruby L. “Jackie” Allen, 91, of Weston, MO passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in her home at the Weston Senior Housing in Weston, MO. Jackie was born November 23, 1925 in Amazonia, MO to Seth Carl and Anna Mae (Morgan) Dunn. She was a longtime resident of the Weston area and active member of the Weston Christian Church. Jackie married Owens Lee Allen on October 14, 1944 in Rushville, MO. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Armed Forces Insurance Corp at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. Jackie was an excellent cook and enjoyed canning and making jellies. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid sports fan, especially supportive of the K.C. Chiefs and Royals. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Owens Lee; 1 son Larry Lee Allen; 1 brother; and 4 sisters. Jackie is survived by: 2 sons David (Glenys) Allen of Platte City, MO, and William (Ulrike) Allen of Baker, FL; her daughter Sue (Brent) Gierke of Bentonville, AR; a sister Sally Turnbull; 7 grandchildren Shawn Nalor, Michelle Williams, David D. Allen, Kimberly Pilkilton, and Jacob, Carly and Rachael Gierke; 12 great grandchildren Seth, Adam, and Levi Allen, Riley, Kirby and Jake Williams, Zach Ryan, Lauren Stafford, Samantha Van Brunt, Easton and Makayla Pilkilton, and Nick Nalor; and 5 great, great grandchildren Jackson and Amelia Van Brunt, and Noella, Paige, and Caleb Stafford. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Weston Christian Church; followed by an 11:00 a.m., funeral service. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery in Weston.
