Graduating from Muskogee Central High, Matthew attended Hendrix College in Conway, AR. He resided in Dallas, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Sargent of Muskogee and his father, Ray Sargent of Ft Smith, AR. He is survived by his uncle, William, and wife Dorothy Bentley of Rogers, AR and aunt, Jacquelin Cornelius of Kerrville, TX and several cousins.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muskogee, OK at a later date.
