October 30, 1919 - April 3, 2017
Georgene Youngblood Taylor, 97, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017.
Georgene Taylor was born October 30, 1919 in Ranger, TX.
Georgene was born the second of four children and was raised in Mineral Wells, TX. She was a child of the Great Depression and raised by a single mother. While her husband, Auburn, served in the Army in World War II, she was a clerk at Consolidated Aircraft (Lockheed Martin), and after her children graduated from high school, she worked in retail sales. However, she felt her most important job was raising her children. She was a “Super Mom,” homemaker, Girl Scout leader and cook. She loved beautiful scenery, flowers, feeding birds, music and traveling.
Her husband, Auburn Taylor and her three siblings preceded her in death.
Much gratitude to Mary Silva, Sherry Sloan and the staff at Monticello West in Dallas for their dedicated and personalized care.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Senior Source at 3910 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, TX 75219.
