E. Ray Rogers, 75, a resident of Boise and formerly of Gooding, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
     Ray was born on October 11, 1941 in Hailey, Idaho, the son of Ellwin Hosea Rogers and LuRay B. Dodge Rogers.  He was raised on a farm in Carey, later moving with his family to Gooding where he graduated from Gooding High School.  Ray later attended the University of Wyoming where he received his M.B.A.
     Ray married Vicki Lea Brownlee on October 23, 1960.  They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple in October 1961.  They moved to Seattle, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and several locations in Idaho.  Vicki preceded him in death on July 7, 2014.
     He married Margaret Martenson on April 9, 2016, they made their home in Boise.  
     Throughout his life Ray was a loving husband and father.  
     Ray was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings and served valiantly.
     Ray is survived by: his wife, Margaret Rogers of Boise; eleven children – Tamera Roper, Theron Rogers, Tracy Rogers, Tony Rogers, Robert Rogers, Jodi Straube, James Rogers, Sandra Youngblood, Shawna Youngblood, Amber Savage and Keenan Rogers; four step-children – Emily Orchard, Christine Dietz, David McGrath and Kevin McGrath; four brothers, two sisters; 41 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki; his parents; a daughter; a granddaughter; and two brothers.
     A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
     A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gooding, with a visitation to be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  
     Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding
