Edith Ann Henderson, 67, of Shelby County, Passed away April 3, 2017, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.

She was born Aug. 16, 1949, in Shelbyville.

Her parents were Wellbourne and Edith(James)Snepp, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Travis Lee(Amber)Henderson of Columbus; a daughter, Heather(Andy)Sumerford of Flat Rock; a sister, Mary Jane Poer of Edinburgh; and grandchildren, Danny and Jared Sumerford and Megan Henderson.

She was a 1967 graduate of Southwestern High School and attended Grace Point Church in New Whiteland.

She had formally worked at Needham Elementary School as a reading tutor and at Mitsubishi Manufacturing in Franklin. She was a volunteer at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, baking and helping people.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, by the Rev. Zack Scellato at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.

Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Shelby County.
