John Walker Moon Succumbs Suddenly
Greer, Feb. 15 -- (Special) John Walker Moon, 73, successful farmer and esteemed citizen of the upper section of Greenville county died suddenly in the office of a physician here yesterday. Mr. Moon, who had been in poor health for eight months, had come from his home, near Pleasant Hill church, to consult a doctor. Suffering an acute attack of heart trouble , he died in a few minutes.
Surviving are the widow, who before marriage was Miss Susan Birch, the following children, J.T., A.D., and J.C. Moon, Mrs. A.J. Stokes, Mrs. James Brown and Mrs. J.A. Forrester, of Greer and Mrs. Hubert Howell, of Campobello, and a sister Mrs. Jake Belcher, of Greenville.
Mr. Moon was a devoted member of the Liberty Methodist church, and the pastor, Rev. J.E. ---d, conducted the funeral services at the Pleasant Hill Baptist church Tuesday afternoon. Rev. J.A. Brock assisted.
