Death of Mr. J. T. McGibony
from: The Herald-Journal, Greensboro, Greene Co., GA, Vol. 45, #23, Friday, June 10, 1910, p. 2:

Mr. J. T. McGibony passed away at his home in this place on Tuesday afternoon at 3, o'clock.
The deceased was 41 years of age and was a native of Henry county. He, with his parents and two brothers moved to Greene in 1881.
A wife and seven children are left to grieve for a devoted husband and a fond and devoted father.
He was a member of Shiloh Baptist church and was a member of the Woodmen of the World.
The funeral occurred Wednesday afternoon from the Baptist church and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. E. H. Jennings. Interment at city cemetery.
The newly made grave was completely covered with beautiful flowers.
Mr. McGibony was a splendid citizen and had many friends throughout Greene and adjourning counties.
He had been in ill health for some time and recently was forced to give up his position as salesman at the store of McCommons, Thompson-Boswell Co., whose doors were closed and the employees attended the sad obsequies.
