Mr. Joshua Thomas Phillips, 23, of Frederick, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2017. He was the fiance of Candice Strevig, of Frederick.

Born in Rockville, MD, Josh was the son of Tom and Lynne Phillips of Frederick. He attended Gov. Thomas Johnson High School and worked as a cook and delivery driver at Jerry's Subs & Pizza on 7th St. in Frederick. Music was Josh's passion, and he enjoyed playing guitar with friends. He was also an excellent cook, an avid Redskins fan, and an animal lover.

In addition to his parents and his fiance, Josh is survived by his daughter, Annabel Lee Phillips; a son expected in July; his beloved dog Leia; his cats, Patches, Oreo, and Sam; several aunts, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7th from 7 - 9 PM at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 8th. Floral tributes are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, donations to a fund for Josh's children may be made at https://www.gofundme.com/joshtphillips.
